LinkWater Projects
- LinkWater Projects is a government-owned and incorporated company established as a special purpose vehicle (SPV) to design and construct bulk water pipeline projects. The Southern Regional Water Pipeline Company has been trading as LinkWater Projects since 2006.
- LinkWater Projects undertakes detailed design work, manages impact assessments and obtains all approvals necessary to design and construct SEQ's bulk water pipelines. LinkWater Projects is SEQ's leading potable bulk water pipeline design and construction entity, working in partnership with LinkWater.
- The state government's SEQ Water Grid is the biggest urban drought response in Australia. It connects dams, weirs and other water storages throughout the region, securing a reliable water supply for residents now and into the future. The SEQ Water Grid will have an ultimate network of 500 kilometres of pipeline, moving up to 350,000 megalitres of water from areas of surplus to areas experiencing shortage.
- LinkWater Projects is currently responsible for the delivery of key water infrastructure in various stages of design and construction that form an integral part of the SEQ Water Grid.
- LinkWater Projects' current alliance members include personnel from the Northern Network Alliance and the Toowoomba Pipeline Alliance.
- The majority of potable bulk water pipelines currently under construction by LinkWater Projects will ultimately be owned, managed and operated by LinkWater - the Queensland Bulk Water Transport Authority.
