CEO Update

As CEO of both LinkWater Projects and LinkWater, I am very proud to have achieved our original vision of becoming an effective partner in delivering bulk water transport services within the South East Queensland Water Grid.

Our new vision will position LinkWater Projects as the leader in the planning, development and transport of bulk water related services.

This has been a time of delivery for LinkWater Projects.

The Southern Regional Water Pipeline, Eastern Pipeline Interconnector, Northern Pipeline Interconnector - Stage 1 and the Toowoomba Pipeline are now part of drought-proofing infrastructure that enables us to share water across all of SEQ.

These four projects were delivered on time and on budget - an outstanding achievement indicative of our commitment to disciplined project management, innovation, cost control and delivery.

More than 1,800 people were employed across the projects, and more than $510 million was directly injected into Queensland communities through the purchase of goods and services. This sort of economic boost will be felt for generations to come.

Two other projects are underway; the Northern Pipeline Interconnector - Stage 2 which began construction in February 2010 following federal government approval, and the Cedar Grove Connector which is under feasibility assessment.

With the recent release of the SEQ Regional Plan and Infrastructure Program, LinkWater Projects will continue to support the Queensland Government's plan for developing the Water Grid and associated projects in the most cost-effective and efficient manner.
