The Northern Pipeline Interconnector (NPI) - Stage 1 is one of three major infrastructure projects delivered by the Southern Regional Water Pipeline Alliance (SRWPA) for LinkWater Projects, the state government's special purpose vehicle for the design and construction of water infrastructure. Its gazetted completion date was 31 December 2008 with final reinstatement of land now complete. This mostly underground pipeline spans 47km from Landers Shute to Morayfield. The team was assembled in August 2006 with the first pipe laid in November 2007.
