LinkWater Projects successfully delivered four major water pipeline projects in 2009-10. Today, these pipelines form an integral part of the SEQ Water Grid, providing water security to Australia's fastest growing region. These projects were completed on time and on budget - a significant achievement given the tight timelines for their delivery. Now, for the first time on a major scale, water can be moved and shared throughout SEQ. LinkWater Projects is currently concentrating all efforts on the delivery of a further two pipeline projects in various stages of planning and construction. These projects will ultimately deliver another 80km of additional water pipelines for SEQ. Once constructed, the majority of the pipelines are handed over to LinkWater, the Queensland Bulk Water Transport Authority, to operate and maintain. LinkWater controls more than 530km of newly constructed and existing potable bulk water pipelines and associated works. |
